President's Message
I would like to thank all of our renewing members for their support of the BR&R Club. For those who do not know, the Buffalo Revolver and Rifle Club is the oldest gun club in Western New York. We have some records that date back to the 1920s. For those who have not been to the club in a while you should know there have been a few improvements to the building. As a result of the last two work parties we have installed steel panels on the left wall. Also, when the snow is gone, you will see the new stone landscaping, a gift from our neighbor. Stone barriers replaced the old wooden railroad ties and crushed stone is spread inside the barriers.
This is in addition to the repaving of the road and parking lot, all made possible by the kind donations by our neighbor, Ebenezer Yard Materials.
John Wisniewski will fill you in on all completed improvements as well as our future plans. We had another very successful work party and once again had enough people to help with all the planned work and a few extras as well. There was almost no place to park in the lot. Thanks to all who helped. It’s that kind of involvement that makes the club better for everyone.
I encourage all to come out to the club and do some shooting. The PPC league will be starting up again soon. This year we will have a practice time set up to work on any aspect of PPC shooting you would like. PPC is an easy game to get involved in; just about any center fire handgun will get you started. The league is a great way to meet some of the other members. If you want to use the club for some informal shooting, remember it is open Tuesday and Thursday mornings as well as Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
For your safety please remember no jacketed bullets and eye and ear protection is required. We usually have some to lend if you have forgotten yours. We hope to see you at the club soon. And by all means, please remember your NRA membership.
Thank you, Dennis Kirchhoff
